User records and control

Derma.Log is built around the principle that users should be able to access, review, export, and preserve their own tracking history.

User-created Derma.Log records may include spot logs, skin spot records, entries, images, body-area labels, symptom selections, notes, timestamps, reminder-related records, export files, and backup files.

Sensitive data

Derma.Log records may contain sensitive personal data, including skin images, body-area information, symptoms, notes, dates, and other information that can reveal health-related observations.

Users should treat exports, backups, screenshots, shared files, and image ownership exports as sensitive.

Export modes

Derma.Log may support different export modes for different purposes, including report, history, dataset, and backup exports. Each mode may include different information.

Report and history exports are intended for readable organization and communication. Dataset exports are structured outputs. Backup exports are ownership packages and are not designed for anonymized sharing.

Review before sharing

Users should review exported files before sharing. They should check whether the correct spot or scope was selected, whether notes, timestamps, or images are included, whether anonymization options are appropriate, and whether the destination is trusted.

Users should only share Derma.Log exports with people or services they trust.

Limits of anonymization and restore

When anonymization options are used, users should not treat the result as a guarantee that re-identification is impossible in every legal, technical, or real-world context. Skin data, timing, body-area information, notes, and longitudinal details may remain sensitive.

Restore behavior is limited to what the app currently supports. Users should not assume image-backed restore unless the app explicitly provides it.

Outside Derma.Log

Once images, exports, or backups are saved, shared, uploaded, printed, transferred, or opened outside Derma.Log, they may be controlled by the destination app, operating system, cloud service, or user-selected sharing target.

Deleting a Derma.Log account does not delete files the user already exported, saved, shared, printed, or transferred outside Derma.Log.

Not medical advice

Exports may make user observations easier to read or share. Exports do not diagnose disease, rule out cancer or other medical conditions, replace a qualified medical professional, or provide treatment advice.
