Account Deletion & Retention

Last updated: May 2026

Privacy Policy Terms Export & Backup

Deletion is permanent

Deleting a Derma.Log account is intended to be permanent. When account deletion completes, the user should no longer expect to access the deleted account, Derma.Log records, or account-linked operational data.

Users should export or back up any records they want to keep before deleting their account.

What deletion covers

Account deletion is intended to remove account-linked operational Derma.Log data, such as account identity, spot records and logs, spot entries, image records, stored user image objects, account-state records, billing-event records stored by Derma.Log, storage quota records, and related operational records tied to the account.

This notice describes Derma.Log's own operational systems. It does not control independent third-party records that may exist outside Derma.Log.

Deletion failure and cleanup

Derma.Log's deletion flow is intended to clean up required stored user image objects before final account deletion. If required cleanup cannot complete, deletion may fail rather than falsely presenting success.

A failed deletion attempt means the account may still exist and the user may need to try again or contact support.

Exports, shared files, and billing

Account deletion does not delete files the user previously exported, backed up, saved, shared, sent, printed, transferred, or stored outside Derma.Log.

Account deletion does not automatically guarantee cancellation, refund, or billing history removal from an external billing provider. Users may need to manage active subscriptions through the relevant billing provider.

Research boundary

Ordinary private account use is not an active research contribution program. Current V1 account deletion does not preserve a hidden active research corpus from ordinary private use.

Any future research or evidence contribution feature must be optional, explicit, consent-based, separately governed, and legally reviewed before activation.
